Xiaomi Mi 7 may come with OLED Panel and an Always on Display – Specification

With only a few days for the Mobile World Congress, we are hearing a lot of information about devices that may be unveiled at the event. As Samsung Galaxy S9 is on everyone’s lips, as it’s featured in more rumors and leaks than any other handset. Later, yesterday Sony try’s to puzzle everyone by releasing a teaser. And today another smartphone maker has come into to the list with their upcoming smartphone – Some new specs about the Xiaomi MI 7 were getting leaked with its firmware file.

We already knew that the smartphone will come with Qualcomm Snapdragon 854 SoC, confirmed by the CEO himself. Apart from that there many unconfirmed details are there. Rumors suggest that the phone will likely come in two variants – regular (MI 7) and MI 7 plus. There are also rumors like the Plus variant will come with 6.01″ OLED display panel from Samsung with 18:9 display aspect ration. MI 7 is also rumored to be the first Xiaomi phone to come with wireless charging. There are also rumors that the phone will be powered by 4,480 mAh battery.

But Today some MI 7 Firmware files get leaked, which unveils some of the specifications of the smartphone. The firmware files were leaked by @FunkyHuawei, the man behind the FunkyHuawei.club service. The firmware file confirms the most obvious features. Now it is sure that the MI 7 is powered by a Qualcomm Snapdragon 845 and runs Android 8.0 Oreo with MIUI 9. There is also a hint about the OLED display, Dual camera and about the Always on Display. Now it is clear that MI 7 is the first Xiaomi flagship to come with Always on Display.

By going to through the firmware we can also find some basic features, such as the phone will have dual sim, support to the real-time bokeh mode in the camera app, IR blaster, Electronic Image Stabilization, Qualcomm’s aptX and aptX HD Bluetooth audio codecs, and NFC support.  The battery capacity of the smartphone listed the firmware is 3,170 mAh, which is less than the battery capacity of the Xiaomi Mi 6 (3,350 mAh) but not considerably so.

Other details about MI 7 and MI 7 plus is not available at present. Earlier Xiaomi Release its budget smartphone – Redmi Note 5 and Note 5 Pro. It is one of the lineups to the most selling smartphone selling in India. Stay tuned to know more once it is available.
