Here is the complete First review on Sony Xperia XZ2 and XZ2 Compact.

Well everyone talking about the Samsungs’s Galaxy S9 and S9+, Sony has unveiled its new flagship the Xperia XZ2 and XZ2 Compact. It’s clear that Sony has worked a lot on this smartphone, But let’s discuss dose this a better flagship.

This is the first time Sony has redesigned its smartphone in almost 3 years. The phone is more curvy and gives a liquid look. With Aluminium Unibody offering and curved back panel with round edges, it’s definitely more comfortable to hold.

At the front sony have made some efforts to slim the bezels but in the world of edge to edge screens the XZ2 feels a little 2017. The Simcard tray and Micro SdCard Slot is located at the top and the USB Type-C port is located and the Bottom. At the right, It has Volume rockers, Power button, and a dedicated camera button. The phone doesn’t have 3.5 mm headphone jack, It’s really annoying. Both the front and back panel are protected with 3D Corning Gorilla Glass. To the top, the Phone is completely IPv68 certified – Dust and Water resistance.

The Sony Xperia XZ2 features a 5.7 inch, FHD+ display featuring 18:9 Display aspect ratio (424 PPI density) with HDR capability.  The Phone upscales the SDR content to HDR content in real-time and surely you will feel the difference. The HRD video upscaled by this smartphone is really that great and awesome.

The smartphone comes with the Snapdragon 845 chipset with 4GB and 64 GB of internal storage with the support to microSD card slot. The Snapdragon 845 chipset is the one that is present in almost all flagships and is it always gives a better performance. The Xperia XZ2 also supports Gigabytes LTE with the peak download speed of 1.2 GB per Second.

This is where the XZ2 really stands out. At the back, it is packed with 19 MP sensor with laser autofocus. The phone also comes with a 5MP front-facing camera to take selfie shots.

The 19MP rear-facing camera is basically same as the XZ1 camera. However, the new image signal processor and the Snapdragon 845 chipset enabled it to take 4K HDR videos. You will feel the huge difference over HDR ON and OFF mode like range, vibrant and color captured. We can also take SuperSlowMotion videos 960fps at 1080P. That’s nearly thousand frames per second. It’s surely a beast in terms of SlowMotion Videos (Even Samsung slow motion is still 720P). It arguable that it can shot proper HDR with much higher color depth and contrast videos.

The camera adds few modes over the stock, one includes AR sticker mode which allows us to drop creatures into the real-world, Bokhey mode, and much more.

The smartphone has front-facing dual stereo speakers capable of high resolution audio and S4 surround sound. There is also a build in DAC for headphone devices, However, it should be used with USB type-C port.

The smartphone is faster and nice to use. It runs on a slightly skinned version of Android which is called Xperia UI. It is super smooth and ha Google Assistance as it AI. It also comes with few more apps apart from stock apps.

3D scanner Apps – wraps a 3D model for yourself or for objects just by moving phone around you. We can use those models for Animoji or other uses. Even you can create and share 3D model of anything or yourself into social media as already facebook enabled it.  This App really works accurately.

The Sony Assistance – though it’s not as like google assistance, It acts as a knowledge base for tips and tricks and much more. Appart from that it comes with Security apps and other useful applications on it.

Fingerprint Sensor

The new fingerprint reader which is now in the middle of the back of the phone is just a bit down and is awkward to reach. But its achievable in short time.

Feedback Engine

Sony adds a Haptic Feedback Engine – which is a vibrator engine. Its Basically a loader that automatically vibrates using the audio comes out of the phone. You will feel the vibration when you are listening to music and while playing games. It exactly gives a PS or Xbox controller feels when you are playing games. But when comes to listening songs, I feel this a little disturbing one if switched on.

The battery size is firmly an average one as like all other flagships. It comes with a 3180MA battery with Quick charge and support to fast wireless charging. Hopefully, the Processor and Well optimized software will give all the efficiency that it has promised.

Apart from the design, it will surely give a tough competition to S9 as of now. You can save a few bugs by getting this smartphone as it will surely give a good performance at a price less than its competitor.

Stay tuned to know more about this Smartphone.
