How to stop your friends’ Facebook Apps and Services from fetching your data (website version)

  • Go to facebook.com
  • Click on the drop-down Aero at the Top Right and click “settings” in it.
  • Now click on Apps at the Left Sidebar. (It shows apps registered with your Facebook account, just scroll down now).
  • Click on Edit option at the “Apps, Web sites and Plug-ins” box and click Disable platform. (It lets all the 3rd-party apps from accessing your data. Even if you want to use Facebook for sign in any application, Then you must enable this back)
  • Click on Edit at the “Apps others use” box
  • Untick all the tick boxes in the popup menu and Save it.

How to stop your friends’ Facebook Apps and Services from fetching your data (Android App version)

  • Open Facebook App on your smartphone
  • Tap on the menu icon at the Right Top
  • Scroll down and Tap Account Settings Option
  • Now Tap Apps near the bottom.
  • Tap on Apps others use.
  • Untick all the checkboxes by taping it.

That’s it, Now your privacy settings are changed. This will keep apps and services that your friends are using from gaining access to your Facebook data.
