GTA 6 Release Date, News and Rumors
Grand Theft Auto 5 has been a great success over the years and it is one of the best action-adventure games since its release in 2013. Though there has been no official news about the next version of the game, GTA 6 , by Rockstar, gamers are looking forward to all the hints and leaks. We have collected everything that is floating on the Internet about GTA 6, mainly where the series takes the gamers and when it is coming.
When is it coming
We are speaking about a game that has no official announcements and we must definitely wait for a long period. It was reported that the early phases of development was happening in early April 2020 and this started all the speculations about the game.
Recent reports suggest that the GTA 6 will be out somewhere between the beginning of April 2023 and the end of March 2024. That is, we can expect the game to launch in the Fiscal Year 24 due to various reasons. While this is one case, a famous Youtuber, Tom Henderson (a Call of Duty leaker), posted that GTA 6 would be released in 2o24 or 2025. so it is clear that GTA 6 release is nowhere near and the next game in the Grand Theft Auto series is still just a rumor. Even if the game comes true, there is a lot to live up to for GTA 6. It is going to be the sequel to one of the most successful games of all time, so GTA 6 must have something more special with it.
Where will GTA 6 be set up
Back in July 2021 there were rumors, with some strong sources, that said GTA 6 is returning to Vice City. They said that the GTA 6 will be set up in a modern day version of the series analog for Miami. It was also said that the maps of GTA 6 will be evolving or expanding over time. This rumor makes a lot of sense because GTA 5 has returned to LA and it will be more practical if GTA 6 is set in Miami. This is where the speculations stand with respect to the location of GTA 6 but we have to wait and see where the official game is located.
Will GTA 6 go Online
Rockstar is very active with their updates to GTA 5’s online Los Santos and this is because of the success of the online version. New activities, events and content are added regularly to the big multiplayer world so this means there are a lot of chances for GTA 6 to come online. Both the predecessors GTA 4 and GTA 5 have had online servers and they have been successful in the market for Rockstar. So practically the GTA 6 must also come with an online version.
GTA 6 Platforms
Though nothing is confirmed about the game, it is speculated that it is likely to release on most of the major platforms. The game will mostly be available on Xbox Series X/S, PS5 and PC. Rockstar’s past with PC versions have been very inconsistent, but the huge hit of GTA 5 and Red Dead Redemption 2 on PC is a great reason for them to release a PC version. We have seen how the earlier PC versions of GTAs have come a little late after the console versions and we can expect the same trend to follow with GTA 6.
Overall, whatever we speak here are just the leaks and expectations of the gamers around the world. We cannot come to any strong conclusions without any official releases. While this is the case now, the president of Rockstar North Leslie Benzies quoted the following in 2013.
“We don’t know what GTA 6 will be, but we’ve got some ideas. We’ve got about 45 years’ worth of ideas we want to do. We’ll pick the right ones. It comes from the idea first. Where it is going to be set is the first question. That then defines the missions; you’re doing different things in LA than in New York or Miami. The map and story get worked up together, and the story is a basic flow of how it works out so you can layer the mission in.”
All we can do for now is wait and see what the company decides about GTA 6. Also, hopefully there will be some good news for the long time players who have a lot of in-game earnings. They would not want to lose their items and earnings in the name of the new game so transfer options are expected on GTA 6.
