Google reveals the list of Android Wear watches getting Oreo

Google Oreo update for Android Wears with five smartwatches already have it, and The rest listed watches will get it soon

Android Wear One of the struggling smartwatch OS of Google is ready with its next update. As everyone thought, Almost every Android wears will get the Oreo update. But Google left us in the dark for a bit by releasing the list of which Android Wear smartwatches are getting Oreo.

Android Wear is simply a variation of Android specifically customized to smartwatches. Like Android TV, Android Wear has its own interface and set of features that are developed separately from the base OS version. Wear’s last big update was Android Wear 2.0 ran on top of Android 7.0 Nougat, which was released with the LG Watch Sport the beginning of this year. In which some components have to be updated through Playstore except what we get through OTA updates.   Though some improvements are made, There is no change in the User Interface of the wear.

Aside from the LG Watch Sport, which rolled out with Oreo update last week, an additional four smartwatches are getting the Android Oreo as of now. In the meantime, Google released a list of the watches that will receive the update. Some of the improvement that included in this updates are customizable vibration strength, a new touch lock option, battery-saving enhancements, and support for additional countries and languages.

The watches that are dropped for Oreo update include the ASUS ZenWatch 2 and 3, the original Fossil Q Founder, the LG G Watch R/Urbane/Urbane LTE, the second-gen Moto 360 and 360 Sport, and the original Huawei Watch. But yet These watches will continue to get Android Wear updates through the Play Store, but the underlying Android version will be stuck on Nougat.
