Sony and Facebook enable direct sharing of 3D arts and Objects.
Facebook has already introduced 3D posts, but with certain limitations. But today the Popular social networking website Facebook is rolling out gITF 2.0 compliance to support high-quality 3D content. The inclusion of gITF 2.0 brings support for textures, lighting, and realistic rendering techniques. At the same time, sony also hinted in its Facebook page that Xperia smartphones users with Android Oreo and 3D Creator app installed can now easily share their 3D art, Objects without any hassle.
As of now, you can experience the 3D portraits and objects both in the desktop version and the regular app(except lite version). Web developers can enable 3D content on their website with a new Open Graph tag, while artists using authorized software can drag/drop 3D files on Facebook for a 3D post.
At present this content is supported by Xperia XZ1 and Xperia XZ1 Compact, along with the year-old XZ Premium, provided you received the update to Android Oreo.
