Here are simple steps to send money from USA to India using Goole Pay.
Google Pay has now allowed users in the US to transfer funds to people in India and Singapore. They have entered into the remittance service market partnering with Western Union and Wise. Google rolled out the redesigned Google Pay app in the US, which was the version already available in India. Through this version installed, Google Pay users can send money from the US to India/Singapore. Google also told, they are aiming to expand the service to more than 200 countries with the Western Union and about 80 countries with the support of Wise.
US users who transfer money using Western Union will be able to do unlimited free transfers until June 16 2021. Whereas when Wise is used, the first transfer will be free for new customers and the maximum amount that can be transferred will be $500, which is about 36,500 Indian rupees. However, there is no update yet about the transaction fees that will be applied after the free transaction period.
How to send money from the US to India using Google Pay
Update your Google Pay app if you do not have the new app redesign.
- Select the Google Pay user to whom you are going to send the money.
- Click the Pay button on the home screen of the Google Pay app and choose between Western Union or Wise.
- Tap continue to know the exact amount you are going to transfer.
- Tap Continue again and follow the guidance given by the app.
Make sure that you don’t enter an amount that exceeds the limit. With fund transfers from the US to India made possible, there is no option for Indians to transfer money to the people in the US using Google Pay. Also, it has to be noted that businesses cannot use Google Pay to transfer money to any individual or businesses that are in India.

This also gives an option to the Americans to easily send money to help Indians.
