Google Duo will work on your phone even without the app

The Duo – one of the Google’s video calling app, works on devices that don’t have the app installed from now. According to the report, Duo users can make calls to any users who didn’t have the app installed and who haven’t registered with the service. The recipient with out the app installed get the service same as like the registered user, but at the end of the call, the recipients who don’t have the app installed are prompted to install the app. The recipient also gets the option to future Duo calls from that user.

But this feature is enabled only for those who have installed the latest Android version on their smartphone. However, on iOS and platforms, the app will be required for making calls on Duo.

This is a good move by Google to come up in this competitive smartphone era. It also encourages the people to try this app and helps in increasing its number of users.
